Byng teacher to be inducted into National Teachers Hall of Fame

Ada —

As a science teacher, Deborah Cornelison strives to help ninth-graders understand the basic concepts of physics and chemistry and apply them to the real world.

The Byng Junior High teacher serves as the grant writer and director for the Mathematics and Science Partnership program in Pontotoc County, and she is active in the National Science Teachers Association.

Now, her hard work has earned her one of the teaching profession’s highest honors.
