Voters in four school districts near the city elected members to respective boards of education Tuesday.
Voters in Byng re-elected incumbent Jeff Case by a wide margin over challenger Gary Watkins. Case was defeating Watkins 101-27 with one preecinct still out.
Tupelo voters turned away incumbent Donald Brooks, voting instead for challenger Bert H. Miller. Miller won the race 55-18 to win the No. 3 seat.
Voters in Roff will see a runoff election between incumbent Bill Lee and challenger Randy Stephens. Lee received 95 votes to Stephens' 86. J.J. Jones garnered 56 votes in the race.
In Vanoss, challenger Bo Ellis defeated incumbent board member Darrell Phillips 306-112 to earn a spot on the board.
Another candidate, Jerry Price received six votes in the contest with all precincts reporting.
