Valley View Regional Hospital becomes Mercy Hospital Ada

Ada — ADA — On Monday, July 1 Ada will have a new view of Valley View when Mercy assumes full operational authority of the hospital. As part of the transition, the community hospital will adopt the name Mercy Hospital Ada.

In February, Valley View Regional Hospital’s board of directors voted to seek a major health care partner. On Monday, a definitive lease agreement between the two health care organizations will take effect.

“We’ve been working a long time with Mercy to reach an agreement that is best for the future of health care in Ada,” Valley View Regional Hospital Board chair Dean Peterson said. “Mercy has a proven track record helping communities like ours sustain and improve access to quality care and the best technologies available. These days, standalone health care providers struggle to do that.”
