Have you ever wondered how to and what it takes to become a franchise owner? Have you ever thought that a certain retail business would flourish in Ada?
The Ada Jobs Foundation is proud to host the first-ever retail franchising show in Pontotoc County. The show will be held in the Ada Chamber of Commerce Community Room on Friday from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be specific information for more than 80 different retailers and details about available properties, as well as information on retail financing opportunities. The event is “come and go,” and Ada Jobs Foundation staff will be on hand in order to assist with any questions.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend to learn the specifics on what it takes to franchise a new opportunity in the Ada area.
“This retail event will provide information to local stakeholders about a variety of franchising opportunities for this area. Diversifying our local retail economy with local investment will help not only provide variety to local patrons, but also entice people from outside of this area to come here and shop,” said Joe Hill, vice president of economic development for the Jobs Foundation.
“Economic development is about increasing wealth in a community and creating a better community,” said Mike Southard, president and CEO of the Jobs Foundation and the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce. “Providing this opportunity for retail expansion will help to achieve both of these goals.”
“Expanding opportunities for retail will help to generate more sales tax dollars, which provide our community with the revenue to improve services and infrastructure,” said Mary Garber, chairwoman of the Jobs Foundation.
