Ada —

At age 91, Reese Scott has plenty of life experience — and lots of stories, too.

The Ada resident, who grew up in southeast Oklahoma and worked as a church furniture manufacturer, spent several years as a mission worker in Haiti.

Now, Scott is sharing his stories with readers in his new book, Parables in My Life: Learn By Living. Scott collaborated with his friend Darryl Fisher, chairman of the Oklahoma Heritage Bank and a published author, on the book.

The Mustang-based company, Tate Publishing and Enterprises,  is publishing Parables in My Life, which will be available through bookstores and online book sellers on May 7. People may order the book in advance by visiting www.tatepublishing.com.

Scott will sign copies of his book from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. April 6 at the Bill S. Cole Center on the East Central University campus.
