Life Community Church launches 'Families First' program Jan. 20

Ada —

Life Community Church (LCC) hosts a six-week long series,  Families First: Hope for Families, Strong or Struggling, from Jan. 20 through Feb. 24, at its 10 a.m. service at 330 East 14th Street in Ada.

Created by LCC Senior Pastor Mickey Keith, the series is open to the public and it focuses on the value and importance of family relationships for Christians and for the community as a whole.

“There is ample evidence that on a national level marriage and family relationships are struggling, but there is also evidence that a religious orientation in the family improves the quality of these relationships,” Keith said. “At Life Community Church, we believe that by following Biblical principles we can enliven strong marriages and help renew struggling ones.”

Families First is an ambitious undertaking that includes testimony, original video productions and interactive communications, all focusing on various themes related to family, marriage and personal relationships.

“We plan to teach and also to have fun with this program, including the introduction of the fictional Kinklefritz Family (made up of members of the LCC congregation),” Keith said.

The Sunday series includes the following topics (by date):

• Jan. 20 “Why the Family”

• Jan. 27 “Marriage on the Rock (the Rock being Jesus Christ)

• Feb. 3 “Raising G-rated Kids in an R-rated World (Christian parenting)

• Feb. 10 “His Needs, Her Needs (teaching utilizing the work of author Willard Harley)

• Feb. 17 “Dating and Waiting” (a focus on the Biblical view on relationships)

• Feb. 24 “Commitment Sunday (making a resolution for a stronger marriage)

As a special feature in the final Feb. 24 segment of the series, interested participants will be invited to share in a resolution ceremony and commitment to a stronger marriage and family relationship.

In addition to the Sunday series, the LCC Wednesday evening “Connection” Series, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (Jan. 23 through Feb. 27) also focuses on the Family First topic.  Associate Pastor Curtis Reese leads the programs, which include testimony and video teachings from the Joe McGee Ministries.

For more information about the Families First series, those interested in attending are welcomed to contact Life Community Church at 580-427-6230 or visit the website at www.life623.com.
