Classic car cruise planned for Konawa/Vamoosa Alumni Weekend

Konawa —

Calling all classic car and truck owners and enthusiasts! Do you still remember dragging Main and cruising the streets of Konawa in your hot rod back in the “glory days?”

Konawa High School alumni, friends and members of the surrounding communities will have a chance to relive those good times Friday night, July 12,  at the Konawa Alumni Reunion.

The event is open to the public. Classic car and truck owners are welcome to take their classics, customs, street rods, rat rods and motorcycles to the Konawa High School parking lot for a cruise about 8:30 p.m. Friday after the alumni basketball game.

The event is in conjunction with Alumni Weekend, but everyone is welcome to participate.  It is informal, and there is no entry fee or judging. Cruisers are encouraged to arrive early to show off their cars and meet up with friends.

There is also a dance/party in the multi-purpose gym with live music Friday night.  Sponsors of Alumni Weekend are encouraging attendance at all three events.
