Davis —

Davis creates contemporary paintings and artwork with inspiration from research, history and ancient images.  Symbols and stories found on pottery, breastplates and other native artifacts are highlighted within her art. Davis’ art crosses a range of mediums and includes painting, sculpture, weaving and print making. Visitors can see her work at the Welcome Center through October 31.

The Welcome Center is located at the southwest corner of exit 55 on I-35. Nearly 29,000 cars per day travel through the intersection. It opened in November with amenities that include a lounge area, vending machines, an outdoor children’s playground and a dog park. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For more information about the center call (580) 369-4222 or visit Chickasaw Country’s website at ChickasawCountry.com.
