St. Luke’s to host fish fry Saturday
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17th and Broadway hosts a fish fry with all the fixings Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5-7 p.m.
The menu will include fish, fries, slaw, hush puppies, dessert and drink.
Tickets are on sale now and will also be available at the door. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children.
Local ministry offers free meal
Ada First Baptist Church Bread of Life Ministry offers a free meal to those in the community who are in need. The meal is served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the church dining room, 521 S. Broadway Ave. For more information, phone 580-332-4121.
Church women to host breakfast
The monthly Ladies Breakfast at College Heights Baptist Church, scheduled for Sept. 21, has been canceled. The next meeting will be Oct. 19.
Grief support group meets Tuesday
GriefShare support group meets from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Central Church of Christ Family Life Center, 824 Stadium Drive.
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of loved ones. Groups meet weekly for 13 weeks to help each individual face the challenge and move toward rebuilding his or her life. There is no charge to attend this grief support group.

Jana Hogg named associate pastor
The Rev. Jana Hogg was recently appointed associate pastor of First United Methodist Church. She is also the new director of United Campus Ministry at East Central University.
Hogg is a graduate of University of Central Oklahoma and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., where she received her master's degree in divinity. She serves as provisional elder in the Oklahoma Conference.
Her responsibilites at First United Methodist Church will be young adult ministry.
Mommy and Me time begins Monday
First Presbyterian Church is starting a Mommy and Me time from 8:45-10:15 a.m. Mondays.
Parents may take their children to play in the gym area while parents or grandparents exercise, drink coffee and chat.
The event takes place at First Presbyterian Church Westminster Fellowship Center, 301 Kings Road.
Fall attendance campaign begins
Ada Baptist Temple, 301 Napier St., begins its annual fall attendance campaign Sunday, Sept. 22.
The campaign theme is Round Up, with the purpose of encouraging visitors.
The campaign continues through Oct. 13 which begind the fall revival. A tent meeting revival will be held on the church's new property located one mile north of Walmart on North Country Club Road.
