Ada — Schools


Monday — Breakfast: Cereal, graham crackers, pears and juice. Lunch: Pizza, marinara sauce, baby carrots, pineapple and peaches and salad mix.

Tuesday — Breakfast: Biscuits, sausage, gravy, applesauce and juice. Lunch: Mexican lasagna, pinto beans, tropical fruit mix and combination salad.

Wednesday — Breakfast: Waffles, fruit, syrup and juice. Lunch: Fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, chilled pears, green beans and tossed salad.

Thursday — Breakfast: Eggs, toast, jelly, fruit and juice. Lunch: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, hot roll, apples and mixed salad.

Friday — Breakfast: Pancake on a stick, fruit cocktail, syrup and juice. Lunch: Hamburgers, corn, orange wedges, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.


Monday — Chicken noodle soup, veggies, dip, green beans, bread, fruit and milk.

Tuesday — Pizza pockets, pinto beans, salad, fruit and milk.

Wednesday — Soft taco, salsa, corn, lettuce, tomato, fruit and milk.

Thursday — Barbecue rib sandwich, tater tots, pickle, salad, fruit and milk.

Friday — No school.


Monday — Breakfast: French toast strips, apricots, cereal, milk and juice. Lunch: Barbecue wieners, black-eyed peas, tossed salad, pears, graham cracker and milk.

Tuesday — Breakfast: Eggs, whole-wheat toast, fruit cocktail, cereal, juice, milk and jelly.  Lunch: Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, green beans, fruit-flavored gelatin, rolls and milk.

Wednesday — Breakfast: Sausage, biscuits, pineapple, cream gravy, juice and milk. Lunch: Goulash, carrots, tossed salad, garlic bread, fruit cocktail and milk.

Thursday — Breakfast: Pancake and sausage on a stick, peaches, cereal, juice and milk. Lunch: Chicken noodle soup, sweet potatoes, tossed salad, applesauce, wheat rolls and milk.

Friday — Breakfast: Ham and cheese croissant, cereal, bananas, juice and milk. Lunch: Hamburger, french fries, lettuce, tomato, watermelon chunks and milk.


Monday — Breakfast: Cinnamon toast, applesauce, juice and milk. Lunch: Cheeseburger Helper, green beans, hot rolls, fruit and milk.

Tuesday — Breakfast: Cereal bar, string cheese, fruit, juice and milk. Lunch: Turkey and cheese sandwich, lettuce, tomato, pickle spear, mustard, mayonnaise, pork-n-beans, fruit, chips and milk.

Wednesday — Breakfast: Toast, scrambled egg, fruit, juice and milk. Lunch: Chili on corn chips, shredded cheese, celery, cucumber, tomato salad with dressing, peach crisp and milk.

Thursday — Breakfast: Biscuits, sausage, fruit, juice and milk. Lunch: Roast in brown gravy, whipped potatoes, steamed broccoli, hot rolls, fruit and milk.

 Friday — Breakfast: Cereal, toast, fruit, juice and milk. Lunch: Hamburger on a bun, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet potato puffs, fruit, pudding and milk.

  • Pontotoc County Quilt Show Results

    Pontotoc County Home and Community Education Clubs held their annual quilt show last week with 97 judged quilts and 28 for-show-only for a grand total of 125 quilts hanging at the two-day show. The event drew over 300 visitors from as far as Tennessee. Eleven vendors were on hand and sold quilting fabric and notions. The following are the results of the judged quilts:
