Amber Mills weds Justin Holbein

Ada — Amber Mills, Roff, married Justin Holbein, Norman, Aug. 9, 2013, during an elegant beach-themed wedding in Ada. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Dale Money.

The couple spent their honeymoon in South Beach, Florida, and are at home in Norman.

Parents of the bride are Tim and Trudy Mills, Roff. Grandparents are Lyle and Ellyn Wright, Peoria, Ariz., and the late LeeRoy Mills and Rosalie Snyder. A 2010 graduate of Stratford High School, she earned a degree in biomedical science from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. She is applying for medical school.

The bridegroom is the son of Karen Ballard, Cache. He is the grandson of JoAnn Burden, Duncan. A 2007 graduate of Duncan High School, he is employed by Sysco Foods.

Maid of honor was Brittany Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaylie Mills and Bethany Jackson, sisters of the bride; and Taryn Wood.

Best men were Michael Holbein, brother of the bridegroom, and Michael Keene. Groomsmen were Colby Snider and Derrick Thomas.

Ring bearers were Eli Murphy, nephew of the bridegroom, Shilkhi Vanderburg, and Isaiah Elrod, brothers of the bride. Escorts included Tyler Mills, Brandon Mills and Kyle Jackson, brothers of the bride.

Flower girls were Mallory Murphy, Natalie Holbein, Keely Holbein, nieces of the bridegroom.

Wedding planners were Erica and Tiffani Dickinson.

Special guests were Krystal Murphy, sister of the bridegroom, and Margaret Money, wife of the pastor.

  • Pontotoc County Quilt Show Results

    Pontotoc County Home and Community Education Clubs held their annual quilt show last week with 97 judged quilts and 28 for-show-only for a grand total of 125 quilts hanging at the two-day show. The event drew over 300 visitors from as far as Tennessee. Eleven vendors were on hand and sold quilting fabric and notions. The following are the results of the judged quilts:
