Chickasaw Nation Head Start accepting enrollment applications

Ada — The Chickasaw Nation Head Start program is accepting spring enrollment applications for the 2014-2015 school year at the Ada, Ardmore, Sulphur and Tishomingo, Okla. locations.

Although applications are accepted throughout the year, enrollment deadline for each upcoming school year is June 1.

The Chickasaw Nation Head Start is a child development program serving income-eligible with children 3 to 5 years old. The Head Start program is designed to teach skills necessary for academic success in later school years.

The Chickasaw Nation Head Start program focuses on providing skill-appropriate services for all Head Start students. Children with special needs are a top priority.

Transportation services are provided for all Head Start students.

Preference is given to Native American and low-income families, as well as families who have children with disabilities.
