Local church welcomes new minister to its church family

ADA — New Life Apostolic Church, pastored by M.D. Bates, welcomes Dan Lankford and family to its church family. Lankford's ministry includes outreach, evangelism and youth programs.

Lankford, 32, has been preaching since he was 16. "He is so dedicated to Jesus. We give everyone a promise that they won't leave a service like they came. They will be touched by Jesus's spirit in some special way," said Bates.

"I believe that we need to teach the principles of holiness, modesty and separation from the world and that such teaching should be reinforced by, and interwoven in, preaching," said Bates. "We are commanded to both teach and preach. I believe that we need to teach in order to get principles into people's hearts so they will keep those Bible principles even after we are gone."

New Life Apostolic Church is located on East 32nd Street. For more information, phone 436-1765.
