Preacher to be ordained Sunday

ADA — Ada Baptist Temple will be ordaining a young preacher, Chance Gibbs, Sunday at 6 p.m.

Gibbs is currently pastoring the First Baptist Church in Eureka, Kan.

Mickey Hollars, pastor at Ada Baptist Temple, taught Gibbs at Champion Baptist College in Hot Springs, Ark.

Gibbs worked under the supervision of Hollars in planting a church in Mount Ida, Ark.

The Ada community is invited to this unique service.

College Heights hosts breakfast

ADA — College Heights Baptist Church invites all ladies interested in good food and   Christian fellowship to join them Saturday, May 18, for their monthly Ladies Breakfast at 10 a.m.

College Heights is located at 927 East 7th St. in Ada.

Carr to speak at revival in Byars 

BYARS — The Rev. Vernon Carr will be speaking at a revival May 19-22 at Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 482 E. Ripley in Byars.

Services May 29 are 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and May 20-22 at 7 p.m.

The event is open to the public.
