Area briefs are for non-profit events and organizations. Briefs must be submitted at least five days before the event by bringing them into the office, emailing them to adanewslifestyle@cableone.net or faxing them to 580-332-8841. Briefs will not be accepted over the telephone. Church-related briefs are published only on Friday’s religion page.

• ACT II Youth Drama Camp 2013 presents Montgomery Mansion, a horror musical comedy by Vickie Reifsnider.  Performance begins at 7 p.m. in ECU’s Dorothy I. Summers Theatre. Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes prior to performance time; $8 adults, $6 students/seniors, $4 children age 5 and under. • Oklahoma Farm Bureau Safety Services is presenting an auto accident prevention course on June 24 and 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ponttooc County Farm Bureau Office, 1027 W. Main, Ada, with instruction on how to improve one’s driving skills. Upon earning the Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course Certificate, one would be eligible to receive a discount on his auto insurance. The class is open to the public. • A gospel show takes place at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month at the American Legion Building located north of the four-way stop in Stratford. The even is free and open to the public. It is open microphone for gospel music. For more information, phone Carol at 320-4319.
