Homer Baptist Church hosts A Servant's Heart Sunday
ADA — Gospel music group “A Servant’s Heart” will be ministering through song Aug. 25 at 10:45 a.m. at Homer Baptist Church, east of Ada, 13901 CR 3590.
Jimmy Hoffman, pastor, and members extend an invitation to come, enjoy, and be blessed by the gospel music of A Servant’s Heart.
The group was formed more than seven years ago and is comprised of Ada residents Patty and Jerry Bailey, Debby Flowers, Jim F. Miller, and Holly Wood. They have released their first CD project titled, “His Love Is Amazing.”
An excerpt from the group’s CD jacket describes their call to ministry, “The Lord has called us into this ministry to lead others to the altar of worship and to fulfill His purpose in our lives: to share through song the Good News.”

Food distribution rescheduled
Philemon Baptist Church’s monthly food distribution has been rescheduled to Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. until noon. For more information, phone 332-2063.
Refuge giveaway set Saturday
The Refuge giveaway will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at 1001 Tipton Terrace, Ada. Items given away include diapers, water, vegetables and school supplies, and there will be a drawing for gift cards. Everything will be free. All night gospel singing set
Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church hosts its 68th annual all night gospel singing at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 24.
The church is located five miles south of Allen on state Highway 48. Exit at the church sign and go three miles east and 1 mile south.
Featured singers include Eric Hins on Group from Nashville, Tenn., Jerry Tims Band, The Carptichers, Higher Ground, Leach Family and Cummings Family.
Guests need to take lawn chairs. Concession food and drinks will be available.
Church ladies host fellowship

Old-time religion preached
Ada Baptist Temple began 33 years ago with one of its goals being to preserve old-time religion.
Church leaders unashamedly preach and promote the King James Bible. The music is lively and exciting from the old-fashioned hymn book. Preaching is straight forward and right out of the Bible. The people are not afraid to worship God with enthusiasm led of the Spirit.

Noah's Ark program presented
Arch Bonnema presents Noah's Ark expedition at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Union Valley Baptist Church. The church is located seven miles southeast of Ada on state Highway 3.

Ada First Assembly of God is hosting a youth revival Aug. 24-25 with evangelist Mike McMullin from Baton Rogue, La.
McMullen is an associate youth pastor of Crossfire Youth Ministry at Family Worship Center in Baton Rogue. He preaches the message of Jesus Christ with a boldness and simplicity that is all his own.
He is a panel member of "Generation of the Cross with Gabriel Swaggart” seen weekly on SonLife Broadcasting Network.
McMullen will be ministering at a youth service at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, and in the morning worship service on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 10:45 a.m.

Grief support group begins
A new GriefShare Group begins Tuesday, Sept. 3 in Ada. Sessions will be held at Central Church of Christ Family Life Center, 824 Stadium Drive, from 7-9 p.m.
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a loved one. GriefShare groups meet weekly for 13 weeks to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. There is no charge for this grief support group.
