Bazaar set at Oil Center PHC

Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church hosts a fall/Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.  Men’s ministry at the church will be serving soup and chili from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. 

Booth items for sale include re-finished antique furniture, homemade baked goods, crocheted hats and scarves, mesh wreaths, RADA cutlery, cookbooks, Avon, Tupperware, Scentsy, hair bows, western wear, purses, jewelry, crafts, quilts, 31 bags, Pampered Chef and more.

Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church is located nine miles west of Ada on state Highway 3W.


Boomer expert to speak in Ada

Dr. Amy Hanson, a speaker, teacher and leader in the field of Boomer research and author of “Baby Boomers & Beyond,”  is coming to Ada First Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. 

What does it mean to age well?  What does it mean to finish well?

Hanson will be speaking on “Your Purpose,” “Your Legacy” and “Your Opportunity.” 

Cost is $5 to cover snacks and lunch. Childcare is provided up to age 4. RSVP by Monday, Nov. 4. Phone 580-332-4121 for more information.


Haskell Cooley Family sings

The Haskell Cooley Family presents “A Time for Refreshing,” featuring Grammy Award Nominee Haskell Cooley, pianist and singer, and his wife, JoLee, bass player and singer.

The southern gospel music event takes place at College Heights Baptist Church Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m.  Admission is free and a love offering will be taken.

College Heights Church is located at 927 East 7th Street, in Ada.


Concert features Cooleys

Dolberg Missionary Baptist Church hosts The Haskell Cooley Family in a gospel music concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11. 

The church is located four miles west of Roff.
