• Mercy Hosptial Ada Auxiliary is sponsoring a book fair on the groundfloor hallway of the hospital. All proceeds benefit patient care at Mercy Hospital Ada. 

• GriefShare support group meets from 7-9 p.m. at Central Church of Christ Family Life Center, 824 Stadium Drive. GriefShare is for people grieving the death of loved ones. Groups meet weekly for 13 weeks to help each individual face the challenge and move toward rebuilding his or her life. There is no charge to attend this grief support group.  • Ada Chapter 758 of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Mercy Hospital Ada (formerly Valley View Regional Hospital) in the cafeteria conference Room. SATURDAY

OCTOBER 12, 2013

• American Legion Post 72 hosts bingo each Saturday night. Mini games begin at 6 p.m. and regular bingo begins at 7 p.m. Snack bar items are available. 

• Spaulding celebrates the 20th anniversary of Dizzy Dean Day. Events begin with a pancake, sausage and eggs breakfast from 7-11 a.m. followed by a tractor show, peanut thrashing, old-time farm events, and entertainment. Events include The Rineharts and Friends at 10 a.m., Jeff Sibble and Company at 10:40 a.m., The Relations at 11:20 a.m., tractor parade and lunch at noon, Mary McDonald and Larry Daynell at 1 p.m., The Johnsons and Roy Justice at 1:40 p.m., and L.D.     Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
