LCC launches 'The Feed' ministry for young adults

Life Community Church (LCC) has launched a new ministry, “The Feed,” for young adults, including upper year high school students, college students and young professionals.  Following several weeks of planning and organization by the ministry leadership team, the first service was held Sunday, Sept. 15, at the church.

The first service included worship songs, accompanied by a live band and testimonies from participants, including Caleb Savage, an East Central University sophomore from Midwest City. At the end of the event, Life Community Church provided dinner for all those present.

“One of the great challenges in pastoral ministry today is to establish stronger support and participation by younger individuals,” LCC Senior Pastor Mickey Keith said.  “Some studies have indicated that nationwide only one in four teenagers now participate in church ministries and other congregation functions.  Our new young adult ministry — The Feed — will add emphasis to existing LCC programs for the youth and the young adult members of our congregation.”

The Feed will focus on providing young adults with Biblically based insights and practices to grow and enhance a strong Christian lifestyle.  Young adults in Ada and surrounding communities are welcomed and encouraged to participate in this new LCC ministry.

The next service for The Feed will be Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. at Life Community Church and the ministry will meet on regular basis the first and third Sundays of the month at 6 p.m.

Life Community Church is located at 330 East 14th Street in Ada.  The church was founded by Senior Pastors Mickey and Glenda Keith in February 2006.

For more information about the church, phone 580-427-6230, visit the website at www.life623.com or Life Community Church on facebook.
