Revival set at New Beginnings Church

New Beginnings Church hosts a revival with Evangelist Woody Robison as the guest speaker. The event takes place July 28-31. Sunday worship is at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

New Beginnings Church is located two miles east of Stratford on state Highway 19.

 

Ada church to host food ministry

Philemon Baptist Church hosts a food ministry from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at 3101 Ware Drive, Ada. For more information, phone 332-2063.

 

Singing convention scheduled July 28

Choctaw/Chickasaw Singing Convention will be held at Dixon Chapel Church from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 28. Dinner will be servd at noon.

All singers are welcome.

To reach Dixon Chapel Church, go five miles west of the four-way stop in Stratford to the Lake Longmire sign. Turn north and go two miles to a T in the road, turn left and go one-fourth of a mile. The church is on the right side of the road.

Clothing give-away set for school kids

Compassion Outreach Center conducts a back-to-school clothing give-away Saturday, Aug. 3. The give-away takes place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Cradduck Road.

 

Christ in the Family conference set

Under the Blood Outreach Ministries presents Christ in the Family Conference July 26 at 6:30 p.m. and July 27 at 8:15 a.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship, 15900 CR 3563.

A light breakfast will be served at 8:15 Saturday morning. Following breakfast, men, women and children will have their own classes. Lunch will be served, and then there will be a service for the entire family. Registration fees are as follows: Age 2-5 (free), age 6-10 ($3), age 11-17 ($6) and adults ($12). Topics for adult classes will be salvation, being single in Christ, being a single parent in Christ and words of wisdom.

 

Youth Bible study scheduled Monday

New Life Apostolic Church conducts a youth Bible study Monday at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.

VBS rescheduled at local church

Unity Missionary Baptist Church has rescheduled its Vacation Bible School previously announced for July 27. It will now be held Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. More information will be published later.

 

Ten Commandments discussed in VBS

Unity Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Theme is "The Ten Commandments." There will be crafts, music, games and Bible lessons for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The event is open to the public. 

The church is located at the corner of Hope and Seventh streets.

School supplies to be given away

Legacy Church of Ada and area businesses are teaming up for their fifth annual school supplies giveaway, which will run from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex.

Parents and guardians are invited to pick up free supplies for their school-age children in prekindergarten through 12th grade. Each student will receive a bag containing paper, pencils, glue, rulers and other items.

The event is open to patrons of all area school districts. Participants are not required to supply proof of income or bring their children, but kids activities will be available.
