Resurrection of Jesus celebrated Sunday

ADA — Ada Baptist Temple celebrates the resurrection of Jesus on Sunday morning with a choir special led by Caleb Prenevost, youth pastor.

Pastor Mickey Hollars presents a sermon on the seven sayings of Jesus on the cross.

The 6 p.m. service will feature the McClosky family, singing and preaching. Pat McClosky is an evangelist from Elizabeth City, N.C.

Services are open to the public.

First United Methodist hosts Easter services

ADA — Easter Sunday will be celebrated with three glorious services at First United Methodist Church.

• An Easter sunrise service is at 7 a.m. at the Andersons’ home. Phone the church at 332-l398 for directions.

• An 8:30 a.m. service will be held a the church chapel followed by Sunday school classes for all ages.

• The 10:45 a.m. service features the church’s Chancel Bell Choir and an inspiring sermon by David L. Daniel, senior pastor.

• Good Friday service takes place at noon Friday, March 29, at Abba House.

New Beginnings Church hosts Easter service

STRATFORD — Easter service at New Beginnings Church begins at 10:30 a.m. A noon lunch follows the morning service. 

Prize eggs and two bicycles will be given away during an Easter egg hunt after lunch. Softball games will also be played.

The church is located two miles east of Stratford on state Highway 19.

 

Candlelight service set March 31 at ECU

ADA — Finding Your Nineveh? “The word of the Lord came to Jonah ... ‘Go to the great city of Nineveh....’”

A candlelight service will be hosted by In or Out Faith Ministries at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at Kerr Dome on the campus of East Central University. The event is free and open to the public.
