Kinders celebrate golden anniversary

Ada —

On May 18, 1963, Judy M. Nunley and Bobby R. Kinder were united in marriage in Konawa by the Rev. Jim Wheeler.  The wedding took place in the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Nunley.

The bridegroom's parents were Mr. and Mrs. George Kinder.

After a short trip to Lake Texoma, the couple made their home in Konawa. They moved to Ada in 1964, then to the Byng area in 1965 and  have made their home there since.

Bob retired from Reagent Chemical in 2008 after 22 years with the company.  Previously, Bob owned and operated Lit’l Bob’s Tank Truck Service.  He received his nickname “Lit’l Bob” because he was good friends and worked with “Big Bob” Rutherford.

Judy retired in 2010 as bookkeeper for Gem Jewelers of Ada and Criswell Funeral Home.  Since retirement, they keep busy fishing at Lake Texoma  and following grandchildren to ball games.

They are the parents of Debbie Kent and David of Knoxville, Tenn., and Robbie Kinder and Rhonda of Byng.  Grandchildren are Cody Winters and Brandis of Lula, Ryan and Reid Kinder of Byng and Katelyn Kent of Knoxville. Great-grandchildren are Jaeley and Jaedyn Avants of Lula.

The family will celebrate the 50th anniversary together with a trip to Destin, Fla., in July.
