Ada — Gospel singing to be held Sunday

Byng Free Will Baptist Church will hold a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Back Porch Gospel is scheduled to sing. 

 

Jewish praryer to be taught Saturday

Congregation Beth Yeshua, 1415 Wolfe Lane, Ada, will study “Our Hebraic Heritage” at 11 a.m. They will study the “Shema” from Deuteronomy 6:4 in Hebrew. Tuition is required and study materials will be provided. To enroll or reserve a place, call 405-476-2797.

 

Revival rescheduled March 23-26

A revival is scheduled at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, 16121 CR 3540, March 23-26. On Sunday, the services are scheduled for 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, the services will begin at 7 p.m. Michael E. Calhoun, minister of discipleship at Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, Texas is slated as the speaker. A Servant's Heart is scheduled to lead worship. The church is located next to Latta school.

 

‘Surprise Sunday’ March 16 at ABT

Ada Baptist Temple, 301 Napier St., will have a special surprise preacher at the church all day March 16. They will also have more surprises that day. ABT will also have Worker Appreciation Day March 23 and Family Fun Night on Friday, March 28. For more information or transportation, call 580-436-4546.

 

Public Bible study March 19

The United Church of God will be hosting a public Bible study called, “The Real Jesus Christ.” The Bible study will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ada Public Library. For more information, call 918-724-4166 or 405-833-5084.

 

Church offers lessons

The New Life Apostolic Faith Church is holding a special revival meeting through Sunday, studying how to feel the presence of Jesus and be inspired by his power. Call 436-1765 for more information. Pastor is M.D. Bates. 

 

ABT Spanish department meets Sundays

Ada Baptist Temple’s Spanish Department meets every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for Bible study, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for preaching and worship and then on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for prayer and Bible study. It is led by Pastor Tomas Chavez. Ada Baptist Temple is located at 301 Napier St. For more information or transportation, call the church office at 580-436-4546.

  • Martin family holds reunion

    Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
