JUNE 1, 2014

• A grand opening and open house celebration will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, June 1, for the Pruitt Center for Recovery. The event is open to the public and will include tours of the new facility, food and refreshments. The new SOAR facility is located at 115 N. Oak Ave., in Ada. 

• Oklahoma Farm Bureau Safety Services is presenting an Auto Accident Prevention course from 6 to 9 p.m. June 16 and 17, at the Pontotoc County Farm Bureau Office in Ada. Upon earning the Vehicle Accident Prevention Course certificate, one would be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance. The class is open to the public. • Byng Alumni Reunion will June 21 at Byng School Cafeteria. Pre-registration is needed by June 14. Attendees are asked to pay $15 by check to Jane Burchett, 704 SE 10th St., Ada, OK 74820-1188. Registration will be at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
