Ada — Ash Wednesday services to be held

First Presbyterial Church will be having Ash Wednesday Services at 8 p.m. March 5.

 

Revival scheduled March 2-5

A revival is scheduled at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, 16121 CR 3540, March 2-5. On Sunday, the services are scheduled for 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, the services will begin at 7 p.m. Michael E. Calhoun, minister of discipleship at Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, Texas, is slated as the speaker. A Servant's Heart is scheduled to lead worship. The church is located next to Latta school.

 

Gospel Opry slated

Cross Cut Cowboy Church will host its first Gospel Opry March 2. The church will have a meal at 6 p.m., and the singing will begin at 7 p.m. The church plans to hold the event the first Sunday evening of each month and will feature singing families, groups and individuals. Cross Cut Cowboy Church is located seven miles north of Ada on US 377/SH 99. For more information, call Dan Megehee at 405-203-5783.

 

Church offers lessons

The New Life Apostolic Faith Church offers lessons on “The Old Paths,” studying how to feel the presence of Jesus and be inspired by his power. Call 436-1765 for more information. Pastor is M.D. Bates. 

 

ABT Spanish Department meets Sundays

Ada Baptist Temple’s Spanish Department meets every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for Bible study, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for preaching and worship and then on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for prayer and Bible study. It is led by Pastor Tomas Chavez. Ada Baptist Temple is located at 301 Napier St. For more information or transportation, call the church office at 580-436-4546.

 

ECU singers, ensemble to perform

"Requiem" by Victoria Davison and Rudy Lupinski is to be premiered by the ECU Singers and instrumental ensemble under the direction of Dr. Steven Walker on March 3 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1300 E. Beverly, Ada. A Reception will follow in Benedictine Hall.  This event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Ada Arts Council.
