Ada — Birthday Gospel Singing tonight 

A birthday gospel singing for Louise Marrs will be tonight at the Chickasaw Community Center, 700 N. Mississippi in Ada. The singing will feature Al Brown & Co., Cornerstones, Jan & Virgil, Scrap Iron, The Rejoice, Jerry Sellers Family, Lakeside Trip and others. Progressive dinner tonight

Ada Baptist Temple's Temple Teens are having a Progressive Dinner on Friday, Feb. 21. Youth Pastor Caleb Prenevost will lead the activity. The teens will travel from house to house being served a different course at each house. Gospel Opry slated

Cross Cut Cowboy Church will host its first Gospel Opry March 2. The church will have a meal at 6 p.m. and the singing will begin at 7 p.m. The church plans to hold the event the first Sunday evening of each month and will feature singing families, groups and individuals. Cross Cut Cowboy Church is located seven miles north of Ada on US 377/SH 99. For more information, call Dan Megehee at 405-203-5783.

 

Church offers lessons

ABT Spanish Department meets Sundays

Ada Baptist Temple’s Spanish Department meets every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for Bible study, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for preaching and worship and then on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for prayer and Bible study. ECU singers, ensemble to perform

"Requiem" by Victoria Davison and Rudy Lupinski is to be premiered by the ECU Singers and instrumental ensemble under the direction of Dr. Steven Walker March 3, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1300 East Beverly, Ada.  A reception will follow in Benedictine Hall.  This event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Ada Arts Council.
