Special speaker at Central 

Church of Christ

Dr. Eddie Bhawanie will be the guest speaker for the annual mission emphasis day Sunday morning, June 15, at the Central Church of Christ in Ada. Originally from the Republic of Trinidad, Bhawanie has traveled in the United States and to many countries around the world to conduct seminars on Christian apologetics. Vacation Bible School June 16-20

St. James Church of God in Christ will be hosting its Vacation Bible School from 5-8 p.m. June 16-20 at 3015 N. Townsend. All elementary ages are welcome, and a snack will be provided. To enroll, call Edith at 332-5657 or Duane at 332-1679.

 

Gospel Opry slated

Cross Cut Cowboy Church hosts a Gospel Opry the first Sunday evening of each month. The church will have a meal at 6 p.m., and the singing will begin at 7 p.m. Families, groups and individuals are invited to perform. Cross Cut Cowboy Church is located seven miles north of Ada on US 377/SH 99. For more information, call Dan Megehee at 405-203-5783.

 

Single ladies’ Bible study begins

Ada Baptist Temple has begun a new Bible study class for single ladies. Judy Cowden leads the class which meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays. The purpose of the class is to encourage and inspire single ladies on how to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord. Ada Baptist Temple is located at 301 Napier St. For more information or transportation, call church office at 580-436-4546.

 

Church offers lessons on Ezekial 38

The New Life Apostolic Church offers lessons on Ezekial Chapter 38 about the coming Gog and Magog war. The church is on East 32nd Street. M.D. Bates is the pastor. For more information, call 580-436-1765.

    Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
