Ada — Church to hold family fun night

Grace Christian Fellowship will be having a family night Friday, July 4, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. before the Ada city fireworks display. The family night will be just north of Starskate.


Gospel Opry slated

Cross Cut Cowboy Church hosts a Gospel Opry the first Sunday evening of each month. The church will have a meal at 6 p.m., and the singing will begin at 7 p.m. Families, groups and individuals are invited to perform. Cross Cut Cowboy Church is located seven miles north of Ada on US 377/SH 99. For more information, call Dan Megehee at 405-203-5783.


Big-screen ministry returns 

to H2O Church

The big screen is coming to Popular movies are shown and a message is taught through the movie. The messages will be at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon Sundays, July 6 through July 20, at H2O Church 108 W. Main St. in Ada.


ABT to hold special services

Ada Baptist Temple will hold two special services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6. At the 11 a.m. service, Sgt. Cody Simmons will be speaking. He has served in Iraq and Egypt. At the 6 p.m. service, youth pastor Caleb Prenovost will preach and direct a youth-led service. ABT is located at 301 N. Napier St. For more information or transporation, call 580-436-4546.


Lovelady Baptist Church hosts VBS July 7-11

Lovelady Baptist Church is hosting Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon July 7-11. The VBS is for 3-year-olds through sixth grade. This year's theme is Agency D3: Discover, Decide, Defend. For more information, call 580-320-3005.


Ada Colbert to hold 

Bible school

Colbert Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. July 7-11 for children ages 3 years through sixth grade. No nursery will be provided. The church is on County Road 1510, approximately one mile east of Broadway or one mile west of Country Club. Activities will include Bible study, recreation, music, refreshment time and more. Parents night will be Friday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 580-332-3294.

    Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
