Affordable Care Act workshop coming to ECU

Ada — The Affordable Care Act of 2010 will be the topic of discussion at a workshop on Tuesday, May 13, at 4 p.m. in the Regents Room of East Central University’s Memorial Student Union Building.

ACA, also known as Obamacare, is the law passed in the United States in 2010 to reform our nation’s healthcare system. Numerous issues have come out because of its passage.

Kristy Ventimiglia, an employee benefits consultant with Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. in Edmond, will be the presenter. She will be talking about how ACA affects you and your business and will discuss the recent changes to the ACA and its impact on small and large employers and their benefit plans.

Ventimiglia is a certified senior professional in human resources and has over 15 years of experience in human resources and 11 years in employee benefits. She is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a bachelor's degree in management of human resources and graduated with a master’s of human resources from the University of Oklahoma.
