JUNE 12, 2013

• Emotions Anonymous is meeting every Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, 820 Stadium Drive. For more information, phone  Kristina at (580) 279-4870. 

• Divorce/Bereavement Support Group meets each Wednesday at 7 p.m. at The Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Cradduck Road, Ada. This group offers support for those who have lost a loved one through divorce or death. For more information, phone Tom at 580-332-6506.

• A dance is conducted each Wednesday at Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Cost has been reduced to $5 per person and is open to the public.

 

THURSDAY

JUNE 13, 2013

• ACT II Youth Drama Camp 2013 presents Montgomery Mansion, a horror musical comedy by Vickie Reifsnider.  Performance begins at 7 p.m. in ECU’s Dorothy I. Summers Theatre. Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes prior to performance time; $8 adults, $6 students/seniors, $4 children age 5 and under. FRIDAY

JUNE 14, 2013

• A gospel show takes place at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month at the American Legion Building located north of the four-way stop in Stratford. The event is free and open to the public. It is open microphone for gospel music. For more information, phone Carol at 320-4319.

 

SATURDAY

JUNE 15, 2013

• Cruisin’ for CASA dinner, concert, live and silent auctions take place at Pontotoc County Agri-plex. Dinner and silent auction is from 6-7:30 p.m., live auction at 7:30 p.m. and music and dancing at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each for adults and $15 each for children ages 12 and younger. • Traditional Country Music takes place the third Saturday of each month at Mary’s Music Barn, featuring The Country Pride Band with special guests. The event is located three and one-half miles south of Stonewall on Jesse Highway, turn right on McDonald Road.     Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
