Kara Byers to wed Jake Foran on June 29

Ada —

Kara Byers and Jake Foran will exchange wedding vows at 6:30 p.m. June 29 at The Chapel. Dane Robinson will officiate the ceremony.

The future bride is the daughter of Mike and Kristi Byers. She is the granddaughter of Jim Martin and the late Doris Martin, and Marvin and Barbara Byers.

She graduated from Byng Schools in 2006. She received her degree in early childhood education in 2012 from East Central University. She is employed at Ada Early Childhood Center as a kindergarten teacher.

The future bridegroom is the son of Trent Foran and Pam Silagy. He is the grandson of Marvalene Silagy and the late Don Silagy, and Oneta Foran and the late Jack Foran.

He graduated from Byng Schools in 2007 and from Gordon Cooper Technology Center. He attends East Central University, where he is a criminal justice major. He is employed at Chaprell Dodge as a mechanic.

    Members of the family of the late Otis Sr. and Viola Roundtree Martin met for a reunion at Fossil Creek, south of Ada, on July 4. The men golfed in the morning, and the kids went swimming. Lots of visiting and making memories.
