A Chickasaw Nation Medical Center physician has been named Medical Center 2013 Employee of the Year
Dr. Sally Berger has worked for Chickasaw Nation Health since 1998.
Dr. Berger earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1989 and completed her internal medicine residency in 1993 at the College of Medicine in Tulsa.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in special education in 1972 from the University of Oklahoma and received her master’s degree in speech pathology from OU Health Sciences Center in 1973.
Dr. Berger serves as chairman of the CNMC Morbidity and Mortality Committee. The panel monitors the standard of care and plans improvements for overall quality of care, performance and patient outcomes. She has previously served as Chickasaw Nation Health Chief of Staff.
An inpatient internal medicine specialist, or hospitalist, Dr. Berger cares for patients who have been admitted to the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center as inpatients.
