Benefit concert to help Oklahoma tornado victims

Ada — Ada officials are giving residents plenty of reasons to visit Wintersmith Park this summer.

The city will kick off its summer entertainment series next month, when the Billy K Band will bring its mix of country, red dirt and acoustic music to Wintersmith Park. The benefit concert is set for 6 p.m. June 1 on the concrete paver south of the lodge.

The concert is free of charge, but donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross to help Oklahoma tornado victims.

People are invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy an evening of music in the park, said Lisa Bratcher, public relations specialist for the city.
