Melissa Byers to wed Joshua Benson

Norman —  

Melissa Byers, formerly of Roff, and Joshua Benson, formerly of Noble, are exchanging wedding vows at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 19, 2011, at Thunderbird Chapel in Norman. A reception follows the ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Krista Byers, Sulphur; and the granddaughter of Ellease Byers, Roff, and the late Warden Byers, Judy Kay and Harold Thyompson. She is a 2002 graduate of Roff High School and a graduate of East Central University, Ada. The bride-to-be is employed by Kal Drilling Inc. located in Oklahoma City.

Parents of the future bridegroom are James and Cathy Graves, Noble. His grandparents are Francis and Beverly Jenkins Fisk, Bethany, Jan Fortuna, Tishomingo, and the late Jessie Jenkins and Richard “Dik” Benson. A 2004 graduate of Noble High School, he is employed by The Chickasaw Nation, Norman.

The couple are making their home in Norman with their daughter Evyn Benson.
