The silent fury of the thunderstorm was contrasted with pastel colors and rich hues of red.

An occasional healthy gust of air assaulted a driver who kept a white-knuckled grip on the steering wheel to maintain control.
The storm was not even close to Pontotoc County. Indeed, it appeared that Stillwater was taking the brunt of the violent weather. From a distance, its sheer beauty was mind-numbing; its core violence shocking.
Weather is a fascination.
