ECU Lady Tigers set for six matches

Ada —  

The East Central University volleyball team will finish up its six-match non-conference stint, Tuesday, Oct. 9 with a 7 p.m. match against Oklahoma Baptist at the Kerr Activities Center. The Lady Tigers (5-16, 3-2 GAC) will then hit the road for two Great American Conference matches Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13.

ECU will first travel to Monticello, Ark., for a 7 p.m. match with Arkansas at Monticello, Friday Oct. 12.  The Lady Tigers will end the weekend in Mangolia, Ark., when they face Southern Arkansas, Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m.

Oklahoma Baptist is 22-3 overall, 6-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and has a 13-match winning streak going. The Lady Bison are led by a trio of hitters, who all have over 145 kills, 15 service aces and 20 blocks each. Kristin Pressley is OBU’s leader with a .283 (294k-90e-720ta) hitting percentage, 23 service aces, 246 digs and 25 (14-11) blocks.  Skyler Straham adds a .281 (197k-66e-466ta) attack percentage, 18 service aces and 52 (19-33) blocks.  Patricia Moura is the third key hitter for the Lady Bison with a .199 (146k-59e-438ta) hitting percentage, 19 service aces, 186 digs and 27 (18-9) blocks.
