• Mary McDonald hosts a traditional country music show at 7 p.m. at Mary McDonald’s Barn, three and a half miles south of Stonewall on Jesse Highway, then right on McDonald Road, the third Saturday of each month, with a different special guest each time. • Residents of Pontotoc County can now sign up for Hyper-Reach, a rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using a mix of telephone calls, text and email messages. Hyper-Reach is a state-of-the-art mass emergency notification system and can provide potentially life-saving capability. Pontotoc County plans to use the service primarily for alerts about weather and environmental hazards, criminal activity and missing persons. Landline phones are automatically enrolled, but mobile phones are only included when citizens enroll. Residents can enroll at www.hyper-reach.com/okpontotocsignup.html.
