Man wanted for alleged kidnapping turns himself in

Ada — An Ada man wanted for an alleged kidnapping turned himself in to authorities Tuesday.

Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said 23-year-old Ramey Reamy phoned authorities and set a up a time and location to turn himself in. Reamy was sought after an encounter with authorities in the pre-dawn hours Sunday.

Deputies were responding to a call where it was alleged Reamy kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, Brittni Etier, from an Ada residence. When deputies confronted Reamy at a house in the county, he allegedly fled the scene. Christian said the alleged kidnapping is still under investigation. Reamy was taken to the Pontotoc County Justice Center where he is being held without bond.
