Ada —

James Miller, former public address announcer for the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team, was placed in handcuffs in a Pontotoc County courtroom today and escorted to the county jail facing six counts of child sexual abuse.

Judge Tom Landrith set a $100,000 bond. Charges against Miller, a former Byng High School graduate and local celebrity for his ex-job with the NBA team, are much more serious in Pontotoc County than in Oklahoma County, where he was arrested a month ago for three counts of lewd conduct involving an 8-year-old boy.

In charges filed today, it is alleged Miller masturbated and encouraged two young girls to touch him and undress before him as he viewed pornography on a television set.
