FRIDAY

NOV. 30, 2012

• The Polar Express Park Train will make its opening season run Friday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. Braving the cold, it will circle Wintersmith Park, giving passengers a special view of the holiday lights. The train will be open to the public each Friday and Saturday evening until Christmas between 6-9 p.m. All rides are free.  A complimentary cup of hot chocolate awaits passengers returning from their journey. These special trips are provided for children between the ages of 1 and 100 and are a gift from the Kiwanis Clubs of Ada. 

• Al Anon meets at 8 p.m. each Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. 

• Ada Elks Lodge has brought in live bands for its Friday night dances. A little classic rock and a little country will appeal to everyone’s tastes. Cost is $5 a person, and it’s open to the public. Dances start at 8 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. Ada Elks Lodge is located at 3850 Arlington in Ada.

• The Peach Town Opry, a music show and open mic night, is hosted at 7 p.m. the first Saturday of each month at Stratford American Legion Building, located just north of the four-way stop on U.S. Highway 177 in Stratford. The show is free, open to the public and features contemporary country and gospel music. For more information, contact Carole at 320-4319.
