Sacred Heart hosts annual community Thanksgiving dinner

The annual Sacred Heart Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 11. Serving times are 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Dinner will be served in Sacred Heart Catholic Church parish hall.

To reach the parish hall from Konawa, travel west on state Highway 39 to Sacred Heart Road and then 1 mile north.

The traditional menu will be turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, hot rolls, green beans, pumpkin and pecan pie, along with other assorted desserts and salads.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 4-12. Children ages 3 years old and younger eat free. All take-out dinners are $8. Sorry, no phone orders will be taken.

A raffle will be held with an opportunity to win a $100 Walmart gift card. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and may be purchased in advance or at the dinner. The winner’s name will be drawn at 1 p.m. You need not be present to win.

The Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. and the Sacred Heart parish extend an invitation to everyone in the community to share in this Thanksgiving meal.
