Alumnae receive scholarship awards to Shakespeare symposium

Four East Central University alumnae and public school teachers were recently treated to a scholarship award to attend the recent Katy Morris Shakespeare Symposium, sponsored by the 34th Annual Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival in Durant. From left to right are: Katy Peercy, teacher at Tishomingo; Samantha Manuel, teacher at Seminole; Teresa Rothrock, associate professor in ECU’s Department of English and Languages and keynote speaker at the symposium; Erin Robertson, teacher at Byng; and Megan Cooper, teacher at Kingston. The four were honored for their impact on education. Rothrock was the keynote speaker at the symposium.
