East Cenral senior linebacker Tyler McGrew, above, was named the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week after his impressive showing in the Tigers' 37-27 upset win over No. 20 Ouachita Baptist last week at Norris Field. McGrew's big game included a team-high 12 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery and a touchdown pass after executing a fake field goal atttempt. The Tigers will try to win their first road game of 2012 Saturay when they travel to Russellville, Ark. to take on the Southern Arkansas Muleriders.
