Floyds celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Ada — LATTA — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Floyd Jr. were honored by their family in the celebration of their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Polo’s Restaurant.

Centerpiece for the table was a two-tier wedding cake which featured the couple's original wedding photograph on one tier. The top tier was adorned with the Floyd name arched above a nosegay of red roses with white baby’s breath.  The cake was designed and decorated by their children.

Charles and Kathryn were married in Roff, Okla., Jan. 18, 1946.

Charles retired from OG&E in 1987. Kathryn retired from Latta School in 1987.

Those attending were their four children and spouses, Jan and Troy Manuel, Kay and Mike Pinley, Randy and Debi Floyd and Sue and Gary Hamilton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Trever Manuel, Jeremy and Ryan Richardson, Olivia and Cooper Hamilton, Machelle, Maggie, and Treyl Manuel, Ritchie, Tosha and Sienna Miller, Seth Schultz, Rylan Richardson and Ashlee Holland.
