ADA — The children of the Rev. Glen and Bettie Eaves are hosting the celebration of their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church Activity Building from 4-6 p.m.
After their marriage April 14, 1961, Glen and Bettie Eaves lived at Iron Stob and McAlester where they pastored Pentecostal Holiness churches in both locations. They have lived at Oil Center since June 1966 after accepting the pastoral position at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church. They pastored 42 years before retiring to enjoy family, gardening and quilt making.
The couple has five children, Lanny and wife Tammy Eaves of Allen, Debbie and Terry Shortes, Ann and Tony Roberts, Russell and Cathy Eaves and Nina and Tommy Collins, all of Ada; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Lanny Joe Eaves Jr. and his children Wesley, Sarah, Sharyssa and Molly Eaves, Bridgette Babb, Oklahoma City, Josh and Chelsea Eaves, Ada, Tim and Kristin Shortes and children Emily and Trenton, Noble, Philip and Stephanie Shortes and Jackie Perez, Pasadena, Texas, Misty and Chris McKinney, Cabot, Ark., Jonnita and Sean and son Caston, Ada, John and Jennifer Roberts and son Brayden, Ada, Kenny Mayfield, Ada, Marissa Eaves, Ada, and Karissa and John Hinman, League City, Texas, Brett and Amber Collins and daughter Paisley Maree, Ada.
The family invites friends and family to attend the reception.
