ADA — At its annual reorganization meeting Dec. 20, at the American Red Cross, the Pontotoc County Amateur Radio Association elected new officers for 2006 and for the first time, elected a woman to lead the organization.

Pontotoc County Amateur Radio Association, comprising more than 20 federally-licensed amateur radio operators in and around Pontotoc County, elected Marie Wilson, president; Chad Letellier, vice president; and Steve Wilson, treasurer and secretary.

All the club’s new officers are residents of Pontotoc County and its members are active in the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League). Incoming president Wilson, recently said she expects to continue the club’s commitment to provide radio communications to Pontotoc County.
