Ada shuts down Ardmore on senior night

Ada —

In their final regular season game, Ada's three senior softball players did Monday exactly what they had done for four years — beat Ardmore.

Ace Leah Huling allowed two hits, struck out eight over four innings and went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs, second baseman/leadoff hitter Bree Foster was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI, and first baseman Caden Howard doubled leading off the fourth inning to start a game-ending rally as the Lady Cougars run-ruled their old rivals, 10-0.

With the win, Ada improved to 19-9 heading into Thursday's Class 4A District Tournament at home against Dickson. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Ardmore left town at 6-18.
