Tecumseh will look to make it three in a row at Norris Field

Ada —

Head coach Matt Weber said he was glad the game with tough and tumble Tecumseh will be in the warm confines of home base Norris Field. Not so warm, at least not for the last two meetings there.

When the Cougars run onto the field under Big Mac they will be going up against a Tecumseh team seeking a third straight victory at Norris Field.

It will surprise some to discover that Tecumseh left town with a victory in the last meeting in 2005. The fifth-ranked Cougars lost the DIstrict 4A-2 battle, 18-10. To put it in perspective it was the dawning of the Michael Roberts era as the multi-talented sophomore took over starting QB duties from Ty Gower for the first time.

And that win made it back-to-back for Tecumseh with two straight victories at Norris Field, including a 23-21 win in 2003.

The series stands at 11 wins for Ada, five for Tecumseh, with the Ada edge coming during one of the most successful stretches ever for the Cougars.
