High-scoring Ada takes show to Harrah

Ada —

The fourth-ranked Ada Cougars will take their high-octane offense on the road this week for a fall break tussle with host Harrah Thursday night.

Ada head coach Matt Weber said the team's routine was the same for Monday and Tuesday and will be again today.

"The first three practices will be like we always do. We'll come in for a team breakfast Thursday morning and our walk-through will be even lighter than a typical Thursday practice," he said of the fall break schedule. "The kids will get then a three-day weekend."

Against a 1-6 Harrah team (four of the Panthers losses have been by a touchdown or less), the Cougars will look to continue their explosive offensive attack.

Ada (7-0) hasn't scored less that 35 points this year and have scored at least 48 in four District 4A-2 victories.

Against a Glenpool team that was ranked ahead of the Cougars to start the season, Ada scored 14 points before its offense ever stepped onto the field (via a return of the opening kickoff for a touchdown by Easton Pingleton and a Pingleton fumble return for a TD just minutes later). Ada would finish the first half with 15 offensive plays, including three incomplete passes. The Cougars rushed the ball nine times for 129 yards and Pingleton had three touchdown catches for 172 yards. He added an interception return for another score. All six times he put his hands on the football, the result was a touchdown.
