Ada — The walls of senior counselor Ronnie Brendle's office speak of many honors, but many more are momentos of those years now referred to as 'back in the day.'
They, the Class of 1971, dubbed The Super Seniors due to their success in all sports, had moved into the new high school only a year earlier, in the fall of 1969. Some older Adans still call it 'the new high school' even as the current Ada High School moves toward a half century celebration.

It was presented to him just a few years ago an old teammate of that hallowed, championship year, 1970, Hicks Smith. Brendle and Smith, flanker and tight end, respectively, were the leading receivers for Larry McBroom's record setting passes that year. The 3,320 yards amassed by McBroom & Co. 1968-70 is the oldest of Ada's team records, standing most of a half-century.
